This measuring method is also suitable for any strip thickness regardless of its material composition. The sensors calibrated by nokra adapt quickly and automatically to any surface.
In production operation, measurements are possible at strip speeds of up to 2000 meters per minute using the alpha.ti 5.0 laser system. With a measuring frequency of up to 67 kHz, strips over two meters wide are measured along the strip direction. In addition, the cross profile can be measured in transverse direction.
The measurement data achieves a measurement accuracy of 0.01 % of the measurement range, e.g. ±1.5 μm at 15 mm. A fully automatic, three-stage referencing unit with interchangeable standard gauge blocks ensures, among other things, objective and traceable inspection data, which are provided without any influence of the operator.
