CLM - Laser measuring system for rotating parts
Technical characterisitcs of the measuring system

-  Machine frame made of stone: reduced effect of temperature and vribrations, guarantees high measuring accuracy and high system availability

-  Flexibility: Measurement of all characteristics without sensor retrofitting and without the need of special clamping

-  Absolute measurement and automatic adjustment of the measuring system with an adjustment shaft

-  Measurement capability according to the Measurement System Analysis standard (MSA)

-  Short measuring time through high sensor measuring frequency

-  Optimized laser sensors for difficult measuring surfaces

-  Temperature sensors within the measuring machine enable automatic adjustments to changing environmental conditions

-  Simple integration into the production processby Profibus interface

-  Standardized data storage: Measuring and inspection results stored in qs-stat file format

Accessories

-  Coded cones for clamping in various designs

-  Reader for barcode or data matrix code

-  Calibrated master parts for automatic adjustment and calibration

-  Handling systems incl. gripper

Example: Measurement of cam shafts

A typical example for an application of CLM is the measurement of cam shafts. In the past, it was often not possible to measure all characteristics of a camshaft inline during production due to the high complexity of the task and the short cycle times.

Using CLM measuring systems, it takes only seconds to measure all relevant characteristics of a cam shaft.
