The production of continuous products in the form
of bands requires a non-stop measurement of the product's thickness
to make sure that given tolerances are met and to immediately
influence the production process if they are not.
The Lepton thickness measuring systems are designed to be
integrated into the production line to provide online data for
process control and quality management.
The thickness measurement is based on the principle of
laser triangulation.
The thickness of the product is calculated from distance
measurements taken synchronously from the top and the
underside of the product.
